It’s easy to say “stones”...
Luigi Lineri’s collection of stones is unique in the world. His intuition of interpreting shapes in an ancestral language prior to the use of words has pushed the artist to catalog, pull over, create panels made of recognisable and unique shapes ( fish, dogs, sheep, birds, woman maternal bodies, male symbols, hearts). The wonderful ‘portico’ set in Zevio (Verona) has become an artistic attraction where human eye gets lost in an extremely suggestive and fantastic stone labyrinth. During the years Lineri has received a lot of poetic and artistic prizes and awards and has appeared in the international press as a character who breaks up with traditional schemes and opens a new artistic way which asks itself about the origin of mankind, the greatest existential issues and inaugurates a unique and original view on prehistoric life. Scientific evidence gives place to wonder, poetry, sublime and loses importance because what really matters for the visitor is the sense of beauty in every panel, every ‘talking stones’ group, every pebble that seems to come to life giving you a supernatural experience of granitic enchantment.
